Akamai announces HD Network that Delivers Large Scale HD Online Video

Akamai announced today they are unveiling the Akamai HD Network, an HD quality video delivery network that can scale to broadcast size audiences. Delve already collaborates with Akamai to deliver an end-to-end online video platform solution that is second to none. For instance, as a result of that collaboration we recently announced our support for Dynamic Streaming through our use of Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5 on Akamai’s network.  Today’s announcement reinforces our belief that Akamai and Delve make a powerful combination. We are very excited about this announcement and we will continue to leverage our collaboration to pair  Akamai’s “next generation video delivery offering” with our own next generation video platform.

As a Delve Networks user, TheSailingChannel looks forward to enhanced HD streaming through Akamai. We read the Akamai info and the features look intriguing. Please give us a timeline on adoption by DN.
